Blog #23 - Moving back home and Results!

Hi guys, hope you are all well. It has been a while since I lasted posted, honestly with starting my placement and in the middle of moving back home, everything has been crazy. So in this blog I wanted to talk about my moving back and my results for this year.

Moving Home

So after a lot of thinking I have decided to move home during my placement year instead of staying in student accommodation. Honestly, for the longest time, I was dead set on staying but being home is where I should be and I am also so glad to be back.

One main reason is the fact that all my friends and family are back here, being able to go out with them and make weekly plans is a massive upside to moving back. Also, on the money side, being at home is perfectly fine, and although I will be paying rent here it is not nearly as expensive as if I want to rent.

Also, my first thought to not moving back home was due to all the fun I would miss supposedly but I'm not going to lie apart from a couple people no one that I met in the first year as even asked me if I wanted to go out, let alone 'How are you?'. But you know what, that's okay because every one of my friends from home has been there for me every step of the way. I plan to go back to uni next year September for my final year.

Results

So I was very shocked with my results and honestly did not expect them. For my grade, I managed to achieve a 1st. Which is the highest grade at Uni. I am over the moon with this result and worked so hard for it. I also managed, by some miracle to get onto the Dean's list of excellence which is a massive achievement.

I plan to do a couple courses on both Java and C# over the next year ready for my final year and to also keep studying so I am ready and prepared.

Thanks for listening, Byyeeeeee
